Crisis Management and Communications

Crisis Management

Crises can strike at any time, whether through unfortunate events, employee experiences, and other unforeseen circumstances. It’s vital to mitigate any damage to your brand, and Inspired HR knows how to handle an employment or leadership crisis with care. We can guide you confidently through crisis communications, allowing you to lead the conversation and steer it in the direction you want it to go.

At Inspired HR, we work with our clients to build a robust crisis management plan by breaking it down into three steps and carefully working through a strategy for each.

Pre-crisis planning: This foundational phase is crucial as it prepares everyone in the organization for the unexpected. By planning, working through scenarios and having a contingency plan in place, your team will feel confident to act instantly should something imminent arise.

Crisis detected: This step requires a pause. When a crisis hits, there are many moving parts, and it’s critical not to make rash decisions. We work with the organization and their teams to evaluate the situation and put the correct pre-crisis planning policy in place before acting.

Post-crisis: The active crisis is over, but there is still a lot to be done. Our team at Inspired HR will work with your management team to re-group, review the situation and report on what happened, document the learnings, and determine what changes, if any, need to be made.

Communications

Our team knows difficult situations need to be handled with tact and sensitivity. Now, more than ever, transparent, clear and concise communication is crucial for organizations to weather any kind of storm, internal or external. We will work with you to ensure that your message, in any crisis, regardless of the magnitude, is transparent and all key stakeholders are aligned.
